This section offers an interactive reference to each anatomical term identified in the Zebrafish Atlas. To view an anatomical part within the context of a virtual slide, choose a term from the list on the left. A virtual slide, with capabilities to zoom and scroll, illustrates the term. The definition and function of each term will be given. A reference link will appear below the image that can be clicked to view the full-sized virtual slide in a new browser window. Where applicable, a link to the term at the ZFIN website is included.

Plans include confirming and expanding the number of definitions with field experts, adding 3D representations for each term, and working towards a complete anatomical reference image library from stages throughout the life-span of the zebrafish.

• The "Recenter" button will return you to the term if you've moved the slide.
• "Launch Full Screen" will open a full-sized view for that particular slide.
